1. Afternoon pickup

   Depart Beijing at a time calculated from the season’s opening and closing hours.

2. Mutianyu access

   Reach the entrance and use the agreed ascent method without rushing the admission window.

3. Late-day walk

   Follow a manageable section as shadows lengthen across the wooded mountains.

4. Photo stop

   Pause at the safest and best available viewpoint for the day’s light.

5. Descend before closure

   Leave the ramparts within the site’s operating hours.

6. Evening return

   Drive back to Beijing after the visit. Sunset on the Wall is possible only when hours and conditions permit.
